Default Emergency HELP!

98 mustang GT manuel T45. I have the tranny mostly ready to remove, how the heck do I get to the two bolts that are on the top of the tranny? There are 7 bolts total to remove before the tranny can come out, right?

take off starter-you have to run an extremely long extension through the front k member to get to one of the bolts. takeout driveshaft and hpipe. put the tail of the tranny on a floor jack then unbolt cross member and drop the tail a little and it will give you the room you need to get a wobble extension or long extension w/ universal socket on it. good luck stay persistant and youll get it.

btw- put a second jack under the front of tranny before you take the last bolt out so it doesnt comeout and slam on the ground

Ok, so i finally got the dang thing out. Now I can't get it in. How the heck do you get the tranny input shaft in the clutch plate? The top of the tranny housing hits the body before I can gettheinputshaft high enough to getin. Any Ideas?

Stab that sucker, there are somes way too help. Just sounds a lil out of reach after reading the thread. Jack up on the front of the motor.1) Dont go bending up your oil pan 2) Best thing would be too loosen the motor mounts a LIL before you do this.
