Default n00b here looking for advice *video*

well, kinda a n00b (here) and not really looking for advice but motivation. Here's the deal... I basically had a stang that was running 12.0's with no HP bolt ons (besides a 100 shot) and decided on going all out in a quest for 10's. My car has always done better than expected so I never doubted that it would run 10's with the right mods (ummm... money). Well I went witha pretty sweet setup and (seem... "legally") to have gotten fvcked by a machine shop that charged me an *** load of money to fvck my **** up. Long story short... My motor had about 350 miles on it and even though it wasn't right I could tell it was a beast!. I ended up having to pull the motor because it had noise like a diesel and burned a qt of oil every 90 miles. I sent the motor to another shop (one of the best around, to remain nameless) and they went thoughthe motor and found a ton of stuff wrong, the main thing is the motor is over honed (.007) and the noise is piston slap, along with a buch of head work that needs to be done, which totals $3800, on top of the $2154 I paid the 1st shop and the $740 for the removal and install of the motor... PLUS at the parts < that's just labor!. (probably over $10,000 total)I'm to the point that I'm exhausted and the 1st maching shop is saying BS and I know they are full of **** and I'll probably end up going to court to get my car finished. I have just about lost hope and know that my car isn't worth **** as it sits. I plan to persue this to finish my dream but need a little push. I have a video that I started that obviously never finished. I was going to finish it up with exhaust clips (cammin' out with cutouts open), dyno footage, street racing and some 10 secound trips down the track. Tell me it's worth it and kick my *** in gear!

GET your *** in gear and get 'er done. That set up is very close to mine and you will have a BEAST. 10's will be VERY attainable with the right tune and getting the power to the ground.

I can use another serious N/A, juiced 2V in my corner. We are a dying breed. I will be 11.70-11.80's N/A and 10.oh's on the juice. You'll never be that fast (was that last sentence enough to get ya moving)? LOL

3800 + parts on your shortblock ? Rip off.

Hell, you can buy a completely new preassembled one for far less than that that will handle everything you can throw at it.

last sentance, nah. Your pockets are probably deeper than mine at this point. I will however have your back and represent for the 2v crew. I may not be as fast as you in the end but I won't post up vids that look like they came off of a camera phone...j/k.... oh wait I'm getting the short end of this stick, I have a nice camera and my car is on jack stands, you don't but you'll probably be at the track this weekend. okay you got me. Hey on a serious note, I have the jets and the -4an nitrous line and the adapter for a 200 shot. Do you know of anyone with our setup that sucessfully ran a 200 shot (not direct port) without a dedicated fuel system and stock fuel rails? I don't know of anyone and I think I may be pretty much limited to a 150 shot. I think for sure I could go 10.7's or betteron a 200 shot.

that's longblock, the best way to redo the heads would cost about $1000. the cheap way is $550.
