how did they get them to work without hitting a piston on a valve? like the stock pistons werent cut or anything to make the valves clear? or did it have like cam gears maybe?

i contacted comp before i purchased the cams. they said all i need is a 3:55 gear or better, cold air intake, and beehive valve springs. no clearance issues. runs great!
part# xe270ah. direct replacement of stock cams.

numbers seem low, I'm sure the heads are holding you back.
Cams don't do much for peak HP in a 2v. They do wonderful things for flattening the HP/TQ curve.

You'll never hear a lope in a 2v . Unless you go with a radical cam .It sucks but I found out the hard way . I bought crane 264 degree intake 270 degree exhaust

Thats just not true. I have my idle set at 950, and I get compliments all the time. When I set the idle at 650-700(not for long) it just sounds nasty.

There are plenty of cars on this forums that have sick lope.
