first time ever at the track
So i took my01GTto the track and ran 15.2 at 97 which leads me to belive that i suck at launching due to my high trap speed andhorrible time, isnt my car supposed to run like 14.2 stock? what am i doing wrong any tips anyonecould give would be greatlyappreciated. thanks.

What was your 60'? Are you an auto or stick? Coupe or convertible?
Post your whole time slip.. it will give us a better idea. Most likely your launch sucked. Drag racing is about 90% in the launch.. the way you get off the line will determine your time.

97 mph is not a high trap speed by any means. Being that it's your 1st time at the track that is 90% of your problem. Practice, practice practice! What exactly did you do and what are your mods. You can try to shallow stage, that will help some but not make up where you should be. There are too many variables that come into play and we'll really need more info to give you better advice. By any chance do you know what the DA was when you ran?

DA= Density Altitude (weather conditions, track altitude, etc)
