Default weight reduction

What would be the best way to reduce weight on an 03 GT that's daily driven?
I'm trying to offset the extra weight from the auto trans and the bigger brakes.
Are a tubular k member and conrol arms really suitable for anything outside of racing?
I'd kinda like to keep my back seat also.

if your looking to keep the interior stock, then you'll have to buy a lot of your weight reduction. I've heard mixed reviews on the tubular k-members, and certain companies make k-members they feel are suitable for daily driving...i believe maximum motorsports and QA1/Hal are good for daily driving. You might also want to look into something like a battery relocation to move what weight you have to better spots. Lighter seats help too

Here is a link in the tech section, it has a section on weight reduction:

https://mustangforums.com/m_2303682/tm.htm

Here are the weights of different things on the car:

Its HARD to do weight reduction, and expensive too. For a daily driver you can't exactly pull the spare and jack out, and there isn't much you can do without some sacrifice.

Granatelli makes a k member that looks stronger than the usual tubulars, but weighs less than stock. Unless you want to make some sacrifices, you're pretty much stuck.

a hood and dyna batt with cut down on some weight. Lightweight wheels help a lot. Hell my Weld Prostar with a 28" M/T ET Drag weighs less than my spare wheel/ tire combo.
