my bro is stationed at the local marine unit and the guys up there wanted to see my cobra in action....so i brought it up there to show em. the cleared out the planes and stood around the end of the stretchwaiting for me to do a top speed run.theres a LONG stretch of road behind the camp thats almost level and straight for about 2.5 miles. i came around thefront of the camp doing about 65 and powerslide around the backside of the camp where the long road started and nailed it to the floor. caught traction after a couple seconds and got it up to 130 fast. i let off the throttle and thought about shutting it down......

......long story short......168 isnt anything to play with....

Lower it, front air dam, grille plug,etc... basically try to remove as much air passing underneath the car as possible. Remember air under car = lift. Lift = instability, instability will inevitably = crash and/or death.

...so would a mach 1 chin spoiler at least help out at all? My car has tthe stock suspension (save rear LCAs)....and while I don't plan on making any more 100+ runs, who knows what may happen

iknow this guy with this civic that claims he hit 297 mph once. But i dunno. I asked him how did it remainstable at such high speed. He told me his light-weight aluminum wing that is 4 feet tall helps keeps the rear end planted. I dunno...that guys a lil weird. Anywaysmy car starts to get reallllly light around 120ish. 130mph with the top down is a quite unique experience...

I noticed a difference once i put the cobra front bumper on up at 100+. It keeps the front end a little more stable and planted. Not to mention all the extra air it feeds the radiator and engine.

I did i 140 with the top down on I-25 back from denver. That was intense.
