I just let my 16 year old son take my Mustang down to the store (he washed it when he returned) he was grinning ear to ear! Somehow, he said "My Focus just doesn't do it for me anymore". He asked about the possibility of trying out the Corvette, I said, "Don't press your luck". He had driven my wife's Bullitt, when we had it. His comments were: the throttle response is incredible, it steers so quick, the shifter is awesome, I thought the Bullitt was awesome, this car blows it away! The car has come along way since I first bought it. Even owning a Corvette 6 speed hasn't dampened my love for that car, it's just fun to drive! Can't wait to get new rubber on it, probably going to put G-Forces on it like the Corvette. This week is a drive the 'vette week, 80 degree temps, targa top off! Thank God, Spring looks like it is here to stay!

The 'vette is a cool car, definitely stupid-fast! The handling is crazy! I've alrerady put Z-51 springs in, Z06 sway bars, and 2007 Z06 shocks. The car handles like it's on rails. Now the bad side, Chevrolet/GM quality is terrible! Door panels that fell apart, turn signal lenses filling with water, broken seat belt, bad weatherstrips, wind noise. This car is my first Chevy, would I buy another Corvette? Yes, but I would be prepared to spend alot of time pissing with it, it's worth it, because NOTHING ELSE DRIVES LIKE ONE, I'm hooked! But I will always have a Mustang for dependable transportation!

man you need to get some 4.10s on your stang. because i drive a 04 c5 vette convertible a lot, its auto tho. but with my mods on my gt, the vette doesnt feel a whole lot faster, top end it does but stop light to stop light the average person says my GT feels pretty much the same as the vette

I've driven a Corvette auto, they are 2.73 gears stock, opt 3.15. THEY ARE LAME! The 6 spd car, like mine, stock is brutal! I reach 103 mph when upshifting to 3rd gear, with 4000 rpm shifts, and that's with 3.42 gears! The potential is amazing! Don't waste your time on a Camaro, they are weight pigs, the C-5 'vette is arguably the best looking, and with handling as good as a C-6, is the way to fly. '97's, '98's, and in some cases '99s, can be found now for as little as 15 grand, if you shop. Overall, the engines are pretty good, the best are '01 and newer like mine which use the LS6 block as the base. These engines have better oiling systems, and are a bit more rugged. It is common place for a NA LS1 'Vette to reach 425 rwhp with $3000 of bolt-ons. And you have killer handling, I love my Mustang, I bleed blue, but these cars are performance bargains, and they drive and look like SEX!
