Thats how all manual transmissions are. The easiest way to fill them is to pull the shifter. Otherwise you`ll need a pump to fill it from the side of trans.

there is a reason there is a fill hole on the side of the transmission...one..best spot to fill according to ford...two so you dont over fill the transmission...when fluid starts to come out of the fill hole thats enough...you dont want anymore fluid in there..
