Tuners

I have a few questions about tuners, that im hoping you guys can answer. I'm wanting to get one for my 03 GT. Im not sure if there is a stock chip in it or not, i bought it last summer off a ford dealership and one of there employees had previously owned it. He said he was gonna give me the tuner he had for it, but never followed through or answered my phone calls. Im just not sure if he installed a new chip.
Would this make a difference in selecting a tuner?
What are some of the best tuners?
Are they worth the money?
How much improvement in h/p can you get out of it?
I appreciate any help. Thanks!

RE: Tuners

The tuner you have would make a difference in selecting a tuner. Some tuners only tune using certain tuners. For example, If you had an SCT XCal2, you couldn't go and get tuned by someone who tunes using only Diablo Sport Tuning Software.

Two of the best tuners you can buy are the SCT XCal2, and the Diablo Sport Predator. You are supposed to have more features and be able to do more with the XCal2, but people who have owned both say they perform a lot (not all) of the same functions.

They are definitely worth the money If you plan on heavily modding your Mustang. The more mods you have, the more the tuner/tune will benefit you. If you don't have a lot of mods, then you will see minimal HP gains.
