I have a short throw shifter so I know my way around dissassembeling it, the major problem though is how do you really know when its full? I mean doing it with a pump the excess spills out, but when you fill it through the shifter there is no way of knowing when your full right?
You might wanna just take it somewhere and have it serviced

How do you guys say that taking the shifter off is easier? Its either take off the shifter (and deal with gaskets and not knowing when its at the right level) or taking out one plug about a foot away from the drain plug that you have to take out anyway. You dont even need a socket to get the plugs out...just a ratchet!!!
