Whats up guys, I have a '02 GT (auto) and i'm looking at motive 3.90's. I know some people don't like Motive gears on here, but i'm also under the impression that Motive at one time made Ford Racing gears. I think 3.90's will give you more punch then 3.73's....but not AS high of RPM's as the 4.10's..

the rpm difference between 3.90 and 4.10 will be about 200 as i read the difference between 4.10 and 4.30 is 200 rpms is that enough of a difference to not get 4.10's?

I went with the 3.90's because its just a little more then 3.73's. I had 3.73's in my 89 GT hatch and loved them. Plus there is a possibility that I may take the car on a road trip now and again so the 3.90's aren't quite as scaryas far as MPG goes. IMHO 3.90 is a goodchoice if you want more than a 3.73 but are concerned about 4.10's.

This is a tough decision.The 3:90's arent made byFord racing are they?Any suggestion's on mods?

The 3.90's are made by Motive which makes gears for FRPP. I've heard horror stories about Motives but my local shop says they've never had a problem with them. Hell you'll sometimea get Motive gears in FRPP boxes.
