I already had a big debate about this elsewhere....
THE IDEA IS ****ING RETARTED.
A few thousand hippes trying to protest agains the oil companies and OPEC isnt going to make a **** deiiference. If you dont buy gas on the 15th, youre gonna buy it within the few days afterwards right? Or is your car just going to be nice to you and run without using any gas on the 15th? If you want to make a difference, you need to lower your consumption. So you could carpool, take public transportation, or GOD FORBID...sell your gas guzzling V8 sports car.
I find it ironc/humorous that this is being brought up on a Mustang forum....[:@]

That is a stupid idea. It has been proven that it hurts the consumer more then it hurts big oil companys. If you want to protest try getting people to only buy fuel from 1 or 2 companys like shell and BP. The others will drop their prices and a price war will comence.

I saw this on Facebook, I joined the event just to tell them that I am not going to buy on the 15th but come the 16th I am filling the bitch up for Cruisin' Weekend in OC, Maryland 
I honestly don't think it will do anything. Also in '97 I was only 10 yrs old but I remember gas being like a dollar and some change a gallon anyway? Also all the kids on that facebook things wherelliberals who all drove newer Hondas or Toyotas that their parents bought for them anyway. So why should they complain about gas? I know I do but I get over it when I dump the clutch in my car and get a ear to ear grin.

Oh yeah btw I get my gas from our little secretin this part of the country called Wawa... it's ****ing great. Actually I have been to one all the way down like 20 miles from Richmond, VA so maybe it is well known now?

We are never going to hurt big oil companies we are dependant on them and they know it we will keep buying gas when its over $5 a gallon. Technology is the only thing that will cahnge our dependance.

Not sure of local gas prices here, don't really pay attention while filling up, but I'm sure it's not over $3 a gallon for premium... Diesel costs more than gas right now, that's a rare, rare thing.
