Some kind of emissions horse chit. You can put a new engine in an old car, but not an old one in a new car

You could just do it any ways. How many engine police are there any way? Probably wouldnt pass inspection.

Why would you pull a 4.6 and put a 5.0 in its place. It may cost more but a 4.6 can make and handle alot more then a 5.0.

i dunno i kinda like the thought of a 331 in a 02 style stang. Lots of compression n/a maybe some nitrous just in case. old school sound to a new school car. I like the idea of it but its not really practical.

what would it take to put a 302 in an 2004 Mustang GT??
Sell the 04 and buy a foxbody if you wanna do it.
Ditto. Just put a blower on yours and be done with it. It wouldnt be worth the hassle if you were going with just a 302. Now a 418 on the other hand...

ya i was just wondering, because i got a 302 given to me with edelbrock heads and carb, with comp cams, and some more stuff. I just wanted to make it a 331 or 347 since it would make more horsepower than the stock 4.6. I am looking for maybe 400-450 horses. But no one gave me a specific answer on what it would take to get it done.

Thanks
