On the bottom of the diff. there is a drain plug. 1) drain fluid. 2) take cover off. 3) clean everything with parts cleaner. 4) use a new gasket and silicone for cover 5) fill plug on side of diff. take this out. 6) fill diff until fluid comes out the hole and your done.

i thought the 7.5 had those little notches on the bottom left and right. my axle looks just like that but i was told it was a 7.5

They only put 8.8's in the GT's.. never the 7.5.. .it wasnt even an option. All the GT's came factory with the same gear ratio and rear end setup.
Its an easy job... about the same difficulty level as the mid pipe.. if you would have gotten the tools then instead of having a shop do it....[8D]
