Default Oh so tech, trade in gt for cobra?

2001 Cobra with 76000 miles for 15,900

I'm sure I can get the dealer to shave off a thousand or so, i still owe 7K on my stang. What in the heck would you do!

I'm going to test drive it and melt in the seat. Should I go for it folks? That 7 grand put into the cobra could go a long way with my 99 GT, but as we all know that 7 grand would be paid for over several years. My 99 has 89,000 on the clock. Any input on what to expect for trade in offers, or what to look for on the cobra as far as abuse, ect. I don't wanna dig myself a hole but I also dont want one of my dream cars to slip away! Damn those 32 valves.

I was gonna trade in my 2000 GT for a 2001 Cobra Vert. Thought about it and I would loose too much on my car. The dealer did say he would give me 7 grand for my car on a trade back in October but the Cobra was 18k and had 40,000 miles on it. My car had 97k on the odometer at the time.

So if you get the car out the door for 24k with your trade, tax-title -license, your talking $400+ per month for 60 months therefore the car will be 11 years old when it`s paid for..... Thats only if they give you at least what you owe for your car. I think I would pass.

Yeah, I calculated about the same. Thats a lot of money to me, don't know about your personal situation (Ackuric). If you're working and make decent money, maybe you could break your ***** for the rest of they year to pay off your GT (again don't know your situation) to have some equity. You might just find thatthe GT is good enough,ESPECIALLY without a car payment.

But, if big payments are no big deal, go for it (though I'd say Mach 1 FTW)

You'll probably break even on your GT, meaning you'll finannce $15,000 plus fees which is about $16,500 OTD. I'f you have decentcredit your payment will be around $300 to $340ish for 5 years. Not too bad.....

for $400 get an 07
With stellar credit his payment would be around $500 x 60 months.

And it will never be a Cobra....[8D]

How would he break even on theGT? The dealer isn't going to eat 7k.

He owes 7k. Not upside down 7k, I figure if he pushes hard enough, they'll give him 6 to 7k for it. Hence, he breaks even....
