Default Running lean

Hi I installed a MAC cold air intake with an 85mm air meter. Now I am running lean. Ijust purchased a Hypertech Power Programmer III #41027 and was wondering if this will adjust it so it will not be lean. I also am installing an off road x pipe and was thinking about getting a 75mm throttle body.

Get a SCT Tunerand getyour cardyno tuned. They will check on your car and set it so it won't run lean.

Well if you know anyone that isexperienced and you can't spend anymore money, just get someone who knows what they are doing to mess with the a/f ratio. Even this is a scary thing to do and should only be done by people who know what they are doing.

Take off the 85mm MAF and you wont run lean anymore. Its not doing anything for you anyway.

+1 Take it off. I hate how these companies tell people it will improve their cars performance on an otherwise stock set-up! They are full of it. The Maf's only function is to read the amount of air entering the intake...THAT's IT! It doesn't allow more air in there. Picture this....You think because you have an oversized MAF sensor so you will get more air into your engine right....???? Wrong how will all that air get past your STOCK 65mm Throttlebody or a 75mm Throttlebody for that matter???? They are uselss. Put it up for sale on Ebay and some other sucker is guaranteed to buy it! Not to mention with an aftermarket programmer you will NEVEr get your tune properly dialed in with anything other than a Factory Ford MAF. You can buy 90mm Lightning Mafs for $100 Brand New all over the place an they are very acurate and CONSISTENT!!! That is Key!!! Besides unles your pegging your maf which won't happen unless your S/C'ed or have anything over 30lb/hr injectors, your stock one is sufficient! The Cold Air intake will benifit you though.
