Default Rear Gears

I have a 98 convert 4.6 and I want to change my gears. I was thinking of going with 410's. It a daily driver in Vegas but will be running to LA about once every 2 months. 373's or 410's?

I'd say 3.73's with all the highway driving. It will drive you absolutely insane to drive 4-5 hours at 2900 rpm with the 4.10's. Plus, your gas mileage will really take a toll.

Mines a DD too, soI'm just putting 3.55's for now. I don't need anything else at my age.

I have the same exact car as you the 98 vert 4.6 liter I couldn't even throw mine out sideways the car was really dead but if you like really firm shifts and want your car to come to life then run the 4.10's you will like it trust me it's well worth it!!!!!!!!!!

I've got the same car. After all my research I bought 4.10's to go with the auto...and figured it'd help my npi have an edge. However, they are still not installed yet.

i just had my 4.10's installed this week and its a manuel and i am more than happy with them, even tho my car is not a DD i still think that the 3.73's would not have been enough....

But thats just my opinion....
