Default Changing Plugs

Okay, car is an 02 GT I went from a conventional oil to synthetic mobil 1 5w20 and changed fuel filter to a motorcraft and have plugs to put in also so my question is from looking at it, it looks like I need to take off fuel rails to get the coils off to change plugs. Do I need to take fuel rails off or not??????????

No you don't need to remove the fuel rails, a couple of them are a pain but its very do-able, good luck.

Ok this is a worst case kinda thing, but it happened to me and my friend. Make sure you dont strip the threads when you put them back in. Me and 00tropicGT had to get our heads heelie coiled and we both are not slow or retarted. We put his wholemotor back together and do alot of work on cars but for some reason they didnt go in right or somthing but its not a cheap fix. 800 some dollars for mine and 1100 for my friends. Mine blow out of the head, and split the coil pack in halfand his just popped the spark plugs out. so be careful.

Just make sure that you torque them down well and that you start em by hand.

+1 on HAND STARTING when threadin in the new plugs, take your time on it!

Also before taking the old plugs out after removing the coil packs,, blast out the base of the plug area with compressed air before removing the plug, to make sure no debris is there that could fall into the engine

Changing plugs on these cars is TOO EASY!!!! Take your time and you still can have them all changed in under 45 minutes. Take care when tightening your coil pack screws too....those also like to strip/break if not done right.
