I was wondering if the flowmaster 40's would be good for my 04 mustang gt, just to get a nice rumble. Also do the are the stock pipes 2.25' are 2.5"? thanks

Flows sound the best to me and Mac a close second. Your stock piping is 2.25' I believe, at least mine were. The 2.5' will be fine though.

if you want a nice rumble then yes flowmaster would be the best for the price. magnaflow are ok, and MAC are ok as well. but for the money go with flows.

I love my Flowmaster 40s they sound good with an o/r H pipe. I can't wait to hear them with my LTs installed. Also Flowmaster just came out with the Super 44s, they are supposed to be improved 40s that are smaller but have more sound.

If you look around on here, there are different exhaust setup clips. I don't know exactly where it is though.

Yes, but if you are just getting mufflers, the muffler shop can weld them together with your stock pipingno problems.

I went ahead and replaced the piping to the midpipe and bought the mufflers from the shop and paid $300 installed. That is really the best way to go. Thanks for pointing that out JJ03MustangGT
