Just sell it and start over with a better platform, get a mach 1 for 18k and sell your car for $6500

I have considered but I don't want another car payment I already have one with my wifes truck. + Mach 1's on insurance are alot more. I have a 99gt it's cheap

I hear ya but mach's are dropping like flies around here I've seen em in the high 16k's (only 8k more than 10k when you add tax tags and tiltle) and If you sell your car, more $$$$. You see If you mod your motor now your gonna have to get brakes, suspension, and your drivetran is 125k miles old. Sell your pony bro she's beat...

i say you look for cobra 4valve swap either a terminator engine or a cobraN/A enigine is the best place to start

I hear ya I have considered deeply. I think around my areaI could get 8-9K for it..... The only car I would buy would be a saleen becuase it is a GT submodel and the cheapest to insure. It will be a while who knowsanything could happen from now untill then.. hit the lotto or loose my job who knows....

No I would not mod on top of what it has....... Get new motor and tranny....
