hey i know this is my first post here but it seems im not getting help on the other forum i belong to. i got my heater core changed back in october and it was beautiful all winter and now i am noticing the antifreeze fog on the inside of the windshield again as well as antifreeze smell coming from the vents. my trusted mechanic and long time friend did the heater core and hes good at what he does. does anyone have any suggestions as to what else it could be?? im not willing to dish out another $600 for the part and labor it took to do the last one

your intake manifold might have just said bye bye.......check around, look for leaks......all experiences ive had with busted heater cores the floorboards ended up wet, mainly the passenger side, take a look......

the floorboard is not wet at all like it was when the first heater core went. ill check the intake manifold tomorrow...and if its leaking or cracked..time for the PI swap. but if anyone else has suggestions id like to hear thankss

yeah.. the fog sounds like the core but your not leaking so.. im not sure..

heater cores are fun.. i loved filling up the coolant and then after making a right turn I get coolant dumped onto my feet... and the smell was wonderful..[:@]
by the way i changed mine with a little help from a friend.. not too bad and a lot better than paying 600..
