Default What Gear Do I Have!!!!!
i have a 2002 mustang gt every says i have a 3 something gear but at 70 mph im running under 2,000 rpms and a little bit above 1500 rpms

put the rear of the car on jackstands, have car outta gear, spin the rear tires 1 complete turn and count how many times the driveshaft goes around.

look at the sticker on the inside of your door jam, and use this page for reference. This is assuming there has been no other owners besides you that could have put gears in.

Look at the tag on the rear diff cover it should tell you. If it's still stock.
