Default shifter noise

when ford put in my new tranny b/c my old one went ford blamed it on my steeda shifter...any its been a few months later the transmission and new clutch r broken in and today I decided to do a high speed run...heres the weird thing...when I was in 4th gear at around 5000rpm or so a ticking/swishing noise was coming from my shifter...is that normal or should I have ford look at it?

I have had mine up to 5K in 4th and never heard anything like that, but I think if you bring it back to the dealer and tell them you were pushin' five grand in 4th, they're going to tell you to just stop doing that. JMO

Mine does the exact same thing. I just wiggle the shifter around and it kinda stops. I was suppose to take my car in to have it looked at but havent found the time.

Nah, it's not the Steeda Tri-X. That puppy is as tight as a fiddle string on my Mach. You really ought to get the upgrade on that tranny. You won't believe the difference.

i'm going to see about that trans upgrade too.

my steeda does the same thing in third AND fourth....wiggling it around a bit seems to do the trick.

I've got a pro 5.0 shifter, with that on there the tranny makes all kinds of noises.
