28k miles need Struts/shocks for H&R Super Sports? SEARCHED!
I know I know use the @$*%ing search well I have and can't find if it's a must or just should be done.. I know it's always best to change out the struts and shocks when dropping a car. not it's never a must on anything higher then 1.5" drop. What about the H&R Super Sports. they drop the car alot more around 2in's (almost) do I NEED them right away? will my stocks blow becuase of the travel left in them? I have 28k miles on my stocks. and would rather wait til 50-60k to change them if I could.

There's really no telling. Some people's shocks / struts take a dump on them the night after they put on the new springs...some last 75K more miles. I always like the play it safe idea and take the opportunity to mod up my suspension. If you do get some aftermarkets- go Bilsteins!!! You wont be dissapointed!

most people need to change out their stock shocks/struts due to the stock shocks/struts not being made for a shorter range of movement and the different stress it is subjected to. It is only recommended that you swap out the stockers when you lower due to the possibility of a blown shock/strut and how crappy thats gonna make your car ride. If you want to try and run the stockers for awhile then I would suggest a set of C/C plates as they allow the struts to reurn to their original position.

yeah the CC plates are going on for sure, i was just trying on not forking out another 500-600 bucks if not needed right away, I have access to a lift and have the skills to do all the work myself (Even alignment) I use to work over at good year for 3 years and on sundays still pass by and use the racks. now which bilstein you talking about? stock replacement bilsteins? I can get those for alot cheaper then anywhere online (local parts place discounts)

i went with tokico hd on my supersport drop; mostly because the colors matched with theH&R springs. pretty inexpensive and the ride is great. you should change out those stockers, otherwise your car with ride like ****.
