suspension

i posted on basic suspension mods last week and i just want to further my inquiry. i nowhave upper and lower granatelli tubular control arms that i am going to install in the next week or so. i now know what i want and need help figuring out exactly what i need to get what i want. i wantto have a great launch at the track and also want it to corner nicely, anddo not want to lower my car much at all (so it doesnt scrape everywhere i go and because i like its stance now). so.. what springs would be good for launching and cornering that wouldnt lower my car much? what shocks and struts would you suggest for my application? (this is for my 1996 GT).

Stock fox body springs is what a lot of people put in for launching.. great weight transfer.

but cornering great and launching great are opposite ideas. To corner great you want as little weight transfer as possible. To launch great you want the best weight transfer you can get......

I would honestly stick with your stock springs (pretty good mix of both) and do adjustable struts and better shocks. You can set up the struts for weight transfer or to firm up the front..

If your really wanting to build it for one or the other you may have to sacrafice just a little bit on both sides.. thats the only reason Im not going with coilovers on my suspension.. I still like to take it to the drags as well.

so kyb agx adjustable struts sound pretty good. should i get the adjustable kyb shocks too? or could i go a little cheaper and just get the regular gas shocks? this may be a dumb question and it doesnt really matter much, but after all of this would i need alignment ?

Yes you will need an alignment and you might as well get CC plates.
