I love how every mustang owner runs into the ls1 driver that has "No Idea" how to race. Mario Andretti could hop in the seat of a camaro and froget where the gas pedal is. I think this is called "Bad ls1 driver syndrome"

This epic battle will never end. We all thought the mustangs had emerged victorious due to the final production of the maro, but what do ya know they brought it back just to keep the rivalary afloat. We can only hope that when the new ones come out they are delivered to people who "can't drive."

Bad driver and the fact that he was in second at 25 mph. Thats not a sweet spot as that would be turning really low rpms. But I wouldnt downshift to first at that speed either so its kind of a bad spot. Starting at 40 mph would have been much better as he would have been higher up in the rpms.

he was in first...when he left the light he turned left onto the road we raced on and in never heard him shift...so WTF? im happy...i guess
right after the race he instantly turned into the subdivision we were next to

2 things come to mind, 1)bad drivers 2)you never made it to 100+mph. They start pulling hard around 100mph.

You would be surprised at how many terrible drivers there are out there. I have beaten plenty of people that I had no business beating with my GT... its just a matter of a superior driver.

espcially with you being an auto from a roll, he should have walked you H A R D. With full boltons, cams, gears, drag raidals, and tune I was having a hard time keeping my buddies stock auto/2.73 geared/coupe (00) off of me... I had to hit every shift just right to pull away from a 30ish roll.

downshifting into first on a manual is not bad. You just have to rev match it.
