How much oil do you all usually burn between oil changes? I usually burn about one quart and was just wondering if this was common.

So far I haven't had to add any oil to the engine in-between oil changes [8D]

But by the time the oil needs changing the oil level is about in the middle of the dipstick reading, maybe slightly less than 1/2 way

It's not a good thing to burn oil, but face it, it happens. I used to burn about 1 - 1.5 qts. between oil changes.

I just figured it was because I have 105,000 on it. I don't add any oil between changes but am consistently at 3,000. Do you thinkthe mileage is the root of the problem?

Your piston rings will wear an engine up to .030. Yours has the miles on it so you most likely have a little bit of oil getting by the rings. It's nothing to worry about until it starts smoking really bad.

86,000 miles and my dip stick reads full when I change mine around 4,000 miles on my 99 gt, full synthetic, guess im lucky
