I think they are all pretty similar in function. It seems like the hurst gets left behind sometimes but it looks like a nice piece. The guys I know with 05-07 cars prefer the Hurst over the Steeda or Pro-50.

When/If I get another mustang I'm going to buy an MGW to see what all the hype is about
Almost everybody LOVES the MGW

I have the Tri-Ax on my 03 Mach and had one on my 94 gt....I loved it on the gt, but it feels too notchy+loud on my mach...although the throw is very short and good for banging through the gears

i went with MGW and i don't feel a huge difference if the shortness of the shift but the actual shifter is amazing. I am sure thou if i put in the stock one and then put in the MGW again i would feel the difference

I'm really surprised Jaybird that your not liking your MGW so far. How many miles do you have on it right now? It takes about 500 miles for it to really smoothen up and shift like butter. Roush17 sat in my car and I think he liked the way it felt even tho he has a Triax.

My point being is why are you so concered with Reverse? I mean, with mine its not really easy to get it into reverse, but I don't really care cuz its not used a whole lot. I'm not sure why your having so much trouble with 5th tho. Mine is a lil stiff but nothing that bothers me. 6th for me is a lil awkward to get into gear since you gotta kinda push out and away to hit it, but it was that way before the MGW was in there. I really don't think its the MGW as much as it is possibly your transmission.
I'm tempted to throw my stock shifter back on and see how it feels. I don't think it's my tranny. Other people have noticed how notchy the 1-2 is, and how overly stiff the centering spring is on the MGW which makes for an interesting time trying to get into 5th gear. Now, though, w/ my Gripper ****, and adjusting the handle more towards 8:00 it's alot easier.

I'm pretty sure I installed it properly. I put everything back as it was, and yep, I put the plastic cup on the end of the shifter. Occasionally the 1-2 shift will require 2 tugs to get it into gear, sort of like it's catching or something. Other gears don't ever do that. Again, in a previous thread I made others have noticed the 1-2 shift notciness too, and is more a byproduct of the 3650 transmission and not the shifter. The MGW is VERY precise and accurate, maybe that's why I notice more of the imperfections of the tranny.

No weird noises and I NEVER miss a shift using the MGW, so I'm pretty sure my tranny is fine.

Ive got the Steeda tri-ax and im one of those that are against it. I didn't notice a difference. Matter of fact it made my shifting more stiff thats why im willing to try out the MGW that the majority of this forum is talking about. The 5.0 shifter, i have no idea.

How noisey is the Tri-Ax? Did you notice a difference between it and OEM as far as sound goes. Did your shifts even get shorter? I noticed a HUGE difference between my OEM and MGW.

It is somewhat noisy but I noticed a pretty big difference in it over stock. It is more stiff, but not enough for me to want to get rid of it.
