How Much Does a Tank of Gas Weigh?
This may seem like a weird question, but how much does a full tank of gas weigh?
Our gas tankshold 15 gallons I think...

I think gas weighs about 9# or 9.5# a gallon.So it would be135 to 142.5 +/-.

Also, that weight is low and directly over your rear tires so that is not a bad place for it....

Ok thanks for the info. It's time to fill my tank, and was just wondering how much to fill.
Don't want to weigh myself down with gas I'm not even using.[8D]

I ran a 14.5 on a full tank stock auto... it helps with hookup!!!!

Specific gravity of gasoline is .739 kg/L *3.78L/gal * 2.205lb/kg * 15 gal = 92.4 lb
Gas weighs 6.16 lb/gal

Wow, reminds me of enginering class. Sept my teacher used to just give up by the end and tell us what the final answer was.
