Default A different kind of HP question.

Ok..so this kid where I live has been talking a bunch of crap about his car lately, and I want some other opinions on it.

Here are the details.....

1996ish Mustang V6
347 (?) Stroker motor
Nitrous..but suposedly only hooked up to purge....who really knows
According to everyone, there are no other mods...he's even on street tires w/ stock suspension.

Heres where I have questions..........he is claiming around 500whp. Is this true? He also said that he outran a 6.0L GTO......you know...the 400hp stock one. There are other people claiming that he is putting down 600+ to the wheels, but cant drive it. There have also been people watch him lose to near stock DSM's b/c he cant drive for ****...he cant handle the car.

Anyways...what do you guys think he is putting down?

There is B.S. written all over that situation. Just tell him to pop the hood. Simple as that.

It all depends on how the motor is built. A guy at our local 1/8 mile track was running 8.80-8.90 with a 347. I guy down the street from me has a 347 that has about 500rwhp and is running 7.20's, It all depends. Also the gto's are not as fast as people think they are. My cousin has a 04 gto 5.7L and ran a 9.20-9.30's in the 1/8, as of my g/f's 94 gt 5.0 with a 4:10 gear runsa 9.19.

How in gods name does someone stroke a 220something v6 to a 347? That alone tells you he is bsing, that would be WAY too much stroke for that block.

Ok..I cant find his cardomain.....which pisses me off...

He showed me a pic of his engine on his cell phone a while back, but to be honest....I didnt know what it was. He could have told me it was a damn fighter jet engine and I would have been like "damn thats sweet."

Oh and Zandor...the word goin around is that he swapped the v6 for a 347 stroker. Hopefully I can find out more about his car this weekend and get some pics or something. I really just wondered if he was feeding me a bunch of **** about it having anywhere from 500-650whp (big gap, I know).

I kinda feel like a ****head for making this post w/o any pics or anything to back me up though lol.
