You dont have to Drop The K member, just Unbolt the A/c Stuff in ur way, Bungee it up outta the way, Loosed the Passanger Side Motor Mount, Jack the Motor Up 6inches 2 a Foot. and I Can fit BOTH hands in there at the same time, to tighten and Loosen them....(im 6'4 280lbs) soo if i had Plenty Of Room you should 2...

I did it without dropping it, used a forklift and pulled the motor up and out. 3 weeks later, nothing but bad header leaks and too much money at a shop to fix it cuz there is no way I was going to attempt this project again... Would definatly drop the k-member

hell.. i put mine in with the a/c on.... and power steering and stuff was on... i did drop the k though... its the only way to go... even if you have a tubular k, its easier to drop the k only on the passenger side.. the driver side header with a QA1 k member, just slides in and bolts up without anything in the way.

I took the K-member off (only cause I put a new one on), and instead of lifting the motor, I dropped it and it was easy as cake, didnt take the ac off or anything and havent had any problems yet. So, I suggest you take the K Member off, itll be alot easier, and instead of raising the motor, drop it, but dont drop it alot or youll break the transmission cooling lines. Good Luck

No you just have to unbolt your steering shaft from your rack, which you would have to do anyway if you were goin to drop the K member. Hardest part you will/should have is getting the Dip stick back in.
