No sense waiting 'til the last minute huh?Well, you'll need 2.0L (2-1/8 qts) of Motorcraft 75W/140 Synthetic Gear Oil, plus 3.8 oz. of friction modifier (Ford C8AZ-19B546-A or equivalent) to meet the factory specs. Based upon the recommendation of a well respected shop in Daytona I used Valvoline's 75W-90 synthetic gear oil and 2 oz. of the Ford friction modifier. Most of the synthetic gear oils (including Valvoline, Royal Purple, Redline, etc.) have friction modifiers included in their formulae, however the folks in Daytona like to give it a taste of the Ford FM as well...
