Default JLT RAI = CEL??

yesterday i put on a JLT RAI that i got used from a member on here. Well i guess his car was older, so it had an IAC sensor. Mine doesn't have one, but the JLT already has the hole drilled for the sensor. So i simply ghetto rigged it, and cut a very short cork and used it to plug the hole so i could test it and see if it worked.
I drove the car up the road and back finewith noproblems. But today when i turned on my car, my CEL was on.

What could be the problem? should i disconnect my battery and see if that helps? or what? could the cork be causing the problem?

Thanks for the helpp

Get the code read at AutoZone and you'll know exactly what the problem is. Once you do that we can help you determine if ti is due to the JLT.

well i guess it's because of the cork.

I took the car to autozone and got it scanned and it was the IAT sensor.
So i guess i'm going to swap the stock intake back on until i can find one. Anyone know a good place to get the sensor?

I had exhaust and when I put my intake on the CEL came on as lean. So I got it tuned to fix that. That might be the proble, it may just be running lean.

I was thinking about that, So i'm not sure now. When he scanned it, if it was running lean, wouldnt that have shown up?

I just swapped the stock intake back on, and the CEL went off. I want to try and find a IAC sensor to put on the jlt and see if that fixes the problem.
