Default Having problems getting my aftermarket hood to latch

ok here is my problem. i put on my 3 in carbonware hood so i didnt have to pay for the painters to take off and put on my hood. it will only latch to where it would be if you pulled the hood release. there is two latches and it wont make it tot he second one. i tried slaming it and pushing it but it seems like its to far over the right. im probly gonna run hood pins on this hood along with the latch if i can get it to work. any ideas? i need to to latch so i can make it to the paint shot atleast. thanks

I had this problem with my stock hood, after you release your hood, push back in on the hood release, the spring in it might be broken

no its not my latch. i had my stock hood on and hour ago and it was working fine. it has somthing to do with lining up the hood and there is only 4 bolts and i dont see how you "align" it?
