Default SUBFRAME install pics, axle tubes, RSTB!

Well I finally got the subframes, rear shock tower brace, and axle tubes all welded yesterday. it was a blast, and a good friend did it for cheap! here are some pics of the Hans stuff getting welded in...the car feels AMAZING now...soo much sturdier and stiffer than it was before.

And dodging tornadoes on the way home...

looks good. Don't think I have seen many with the rear shock tower brace. What brand of subframes are those?

I was actually pretty worried about him burning up the carpet- but he said not to worry, and took his time with the welds + spaced them out so areas had enough time to cool between welds, and I had NO problems whatsoever- not even a burnt scent when I got back in the car.

Also they are Hans Racecraft Force Subframe connectors.

Do you think the hans subframes are worth the $400+ or a cheaper comparable subframe connector would do just as good?

kind of a stupid question but did the rear shock tower brace and sub frames add any weight to the car?

Of course it did he added pieces of metal. Probably nothing noticable but if he put something in the car that wasn't there before it added weight.

Although I think these Hans subframes are amazing pieces, (even the welder thought that they were the best he had seen) i'd still say you would be almost as good just going with a set of Maximum Motorsports Subframes for a quarter the cost. I just saw these Hans ones and had to have them

Also Lazyeye- yeah I probably added about 40-45lbs to the car with this install. It would have been a larger net gain, but the machs come from the factory with crappy bolted in shorty subframes which probably weighed about 20 lbs themselves so that kindof kept the total gains down.
