Most people will place the raptor in the left upper air vent, nice and hidden and the entire vent glows red when its time to bang that next gear.

Mines actually built on top of the guage cluster, oh sorry thats on my R6 not the stang.

The raptor is the best, it's so small!

I put my Raptor Shift Light (about $93 or so at raptorperformance.com)on the A-pillar right at eye-level. It is freaking bright! I installed mine at the drag strip between runs.

A guy I know put one of these in his car. (In the vent.) He likes it, says it works well. Easy to set up too --I guess you can just plug it into the cig lighter. It somehow picks up the RPM that way. To set it, you just rev to the RPM where you want it to come on and press a button, or something. simple. I think you can do the regular wiring too.

Plug and Play Shift light - $29.99

That is sweet. I can't wait to get one know. I'm always scared to slice into wires but as long as it is just one then it's cool.

Anyone else have experiance with this. It sounds pretty cool but I'd like to know how accurate it would be.

I have the raptor light and love it. I did a group buy a while back and got a deal on it for running the GB. I'll try to get a pic tomorrow for you.
