Default From GT to Saleen???

Ok, so I need some thoughts on this subject...I have a 2002 yellow GT 'Vert and would like to make the engine the same as the stock saleens and also would like to put the saleen body kit on to make it look exactly like a saleen....should i not make it look like a saleen being that underneath it all it's still a GT or since im redoing the engine to be a saleen is it "alright/bad" to make it look like one??? I need alot of thoughts on this one because I already have the money to do it, im just contemplating the idea.

Do whatever makes you happy man, it's your car. The Saleen kits look really good, and if you supercharge it as well, it will have the bite to go with the bark.

I'd work on the motor . If it's not a saleen then I wouldn't try to make it look like one . Just me I'd be original

I would imagine most people in the stang community wouldn't give a hoot as long as you don't say it IS a Saleen. Like, no Saleen numbers, badges or anything. Just the bare bones of a Saleen sounds like an awesome idea IMO.

if your car is paid off MY SUGGESTION!!!
strange shocks/strut-$500
springs to lower1 1/2-$300 or so
weld in sub frames-$400 after labor
rims-$600-700
kenne bell 2.1L - $5000
body id say just go front bumper/rear bumper and hood, dont bother with rear windows or rear wing
that youd prob. be looking at around 1400 + painting

and other misc. stuff, thats price to DIY or buy a saleen for around 14K with 40~ miles or so
make sure its stick!!

+1 The look of them are sweet but no matter wat its not a saleen, on the bumper i would fill in the name saleen and paint it so its nice and smooth. that would look real clean!

would it be bad to have the S281 thats etched into the front bumper? because it will be a Supercharged 281? do you think that would be looked down upon?

I don't like saleens but as long as you don't say that is a saleen you're alright.

since were on the cosmetic subject, i love the cobra hoods. does the heat extractor design actually work? and will it fit on a stock gt, if not what mods are necessary to make it fit.
