The driver steps out and for some reason I was suspecting a HOT CHICK to walk on out, like you see in the movies? But nah to my dissapointment, this skinny dorky looking dude steps out and complements my car.

Now I'm thinking why did I turn down my friends 96 supra back in 2000 when he was going to sell it to me for 16,000. No damage, completly stock, 18,000 miles on the odo.....
Why so cheap?
He owed my uncle some money....Its good to have family with some pull
But damnit I'm kinda regreting it right about now.[:'(]

Big single is ALWAYS better than twins for pure power. It takes along time to get it spinning, but once it hits. BAM!
EVERY i mean EVERY big HP Supra is a single. Twins are the best for overall driveability b/c you dont have to wait as long, but it will not give as much power as a comparable single.

And your also saying that with a SINGLE turbo setup, they are likely to produce more horsepower then with a Twin Turbo setup? How? Like for our cars, Twin Turbo is the way to go with one little turbo to spool up quickly during low rpms and the bigger one to take over at the higher rpm levels....

Never been in one personally, but I've seen the car mentiond above smoke the tires on the 2-3 shift in an AUTO.
Pros, insane HP, more than you can imagine
Cons, Lag, and once it hits, its hard to hook up.

Has anyone driven a Supra or had first hand experience in actually driving one in full throttle and racing.... Whats her pros and cons?

they have a GREAT top end rush, but look at that video again... I waxed his *** HARD from a stop. hell, the 2nd race I missed 2nd gear, got it back in and he still could not catch up lol.
Thats with me 50+ whp behind, not to mention that I had the cameraman and he had nothing (240+ pounds extra). From a 30 or so roll I can still keep him off me, and it would be ALOT closer than in the vid if the cameraman was in his car instead of mine!.
They just suck off the line unless you pour assloads of money into them... and then they arn't streetable. its a nice car, but I would never trade in my GT on one, I gotta have that off the line grunt.
BTW, that vid... it was before my suspension lol. It would be straight UGLY now, as I was really blowing off the tires on him on that run.

Not all Supras are just Dyno Queens, Some people actully get the HP 2 the Ground. a Kit has one down here with 500 something WHP... and he runs 10's. UNlike all the 1000's that can get Traction all the way down....

RE: The BUMBOCLAAT CHALLENGED!!!!
Oh man thats insane! Theres a kid in my car club that i just joined and he is the leader and wants to race me since we have the quickest cars, since everyone is a honda or integra, but he is running a 91 supra and a 84 supra. The 91 has a upgraded turbo but its smaller than the t3/t4 turbo do those cars pull hard?

RE: The BUMBOCLAAT CHALLENGED!!!!
Supra's are no doubt nice nice cars, wouldn't mind having one. But I could never switch from the Cobra to a Supra. I would much rather have the low end torque that I have and still have decent top end. Since I rarely make a top end run, it just doesn't make sense to me to ever want a turbo on anything that I drive. Plus, I like how my cobra is streetable and very easy to drive. I hope to run into a nice Supra someday... once I get some new tires

Victor, how many miles are on your motor now...actually how many were on it when you raced him? Wasn't it just the other day you only had like a 1/4 mile on it?

Dude that made my last 10 minutes of study hall go by so fast. Wicked story LOL!
You inspired me to go with the sleeper look... but it's kinda hard to make a Mach look like a sleeper roflz.
