There is nothing there at all except the short hard plastic hose coming from the firewall, I didn't even see a place for another hose, I'll have to look closer. Are they side by side? One on top of the other? Where do the hosesrun to? I just talked to my buddy who is a VW/Audi mechanic, he said it sounds like an AC drain and if that is the case it is likely heater core related, but he wan't sure, he has never worked on Fords. But like I said, it really looks like a hose is missing. I hope that's all it is. Anyone have an under hood diagram for a 98GT?

Im getting a little confused. The two outlets circled in red in this picture, are there hoses connected to each?

The hoses run from the water pump into the heater core and out to the intake manifold. Mine are missing because the motor is out, there should be a hose attached to each.

The outlet on the left should go from the outlet to the intake manifold. The outlet on the right should connect to a rubber hose that connects to a hard line from the water pump.

No, this is much lower on the firewall, directly behind the head on the passenger side.

From your pic it looks like it might be where the circular indent is on your firewall, or maybe just below the range of your picture. I know Chevy mechanics and the VW/Audi mechanic, but nobody that works for a Ford Dealer. Guess the best thing to do is bring it to someone to take a look at, seems I have confused quite a few folks, I figured people would know exactly what I was talking about, maybe someone will come along who has dealt with it before and just knows exactly what I am talking about

No idea. I know I didnt disconnect anything from it when I pulled my motor. The AC is there though, maybe its just an outlet for condensation.

Or your heater core is broken and draining through that outlet instead ofpouring into the passenger compartment of the car?

Chit, that's probably not good to have coolant running from it then. I really appreciate you taking those pictures and figuring out what I was talking about. Hopefully someone will come along who knows what this is and why I have coolant leaking there.
