Default Lower control arm?

My baby got hurt the other day somebody pulled out in front of me and i hit a curb instead of them [:@] but bent strut, spindle, and broke rim... $900 later thats fixed now the shop says the front lower control arm is 1 1/2 in. off from normal and $460 to fix that, parts+labor+alignment (=$60) is this right? sounds high to me? Any help greatly appreciated.

it sounds like it could be, I dont know the cost of a stock control arm but the labor on swapping it is probably 1.5 hours, so thats $150 + 60 alignment = $210 labor + part

Do them yourself. I did and they were an easy install. Took me like three hours for the upper and lower control arms because we were on the ground instead of on a lift.

OK but for one control arm $190?? ive seen the set of 2 for that price or do they both have to be replaced if only one is damaged? If i do this myself are there any special tools i would need? or tips to doing it? Thanks again guys

I think your confusing the front control arm with the rear. The front is what holds the bottom of your spring, ball joint, sway bar link, etc. I've never seen a price on a front control arm, although aftermarket tubular ones are cheaper than $210 - but you gotta remember shops jack their prices on parts and charge book labor - with a good technicion can do it in half of book

Here you go, dude... Go with these. They are the ones that me and MD have and they are great. You get the upper and lower control arms shipped for $169.00 and it takes like three hour to install without a lift. Maybe an hour and a half with a lift.

Blue Oval upper and lower control arms.
