Default Shifter Installation!!! HELP!

OMFG... I got my Tri-Axe today.. I just tried to install it... I got the part where I have to take off the 13 mm bolts that actually take off the stock shifter itself.... I get the socket and it seems very tough... I then put some elbow grease into loosening these 4 bolts... It broke the socket.... I then had tried another 13mm socket... I BROKE THE OTHER ONE!!! I cant my stock shifter out!!!!! What should I do? Put my old shifter back together and go to the parts store and pick up another 13 mm socket??? Those bolts are not there really tight!!! Any Advice on how I will get these off when I get another socket!!!! Help!!

Yeah, what kind of tools were they? Ive broken plenty of ratchets but never a socket. Get a craftsman socket, I guarantee it wont break.

And if it is still being stubborn, hit the bolts with some PB Blaster.

use a wrench to break it free if its that rough... then go to the sockets... or just get ratcheting wrenches the craftsmens with lifetime warranties. i have yet to break one.. got a set of gear wrenches too havnt broke one of those yet either. used them alot then went and got the craftsman set.. good stuff...
