Do I use my old cam caps if I bought new heads?

well i got new heads and they came with the caps but if yours doesnt then just use the old ones.

You cant use old cam caps on new heads. You cant even get them out of order or on the wrong heads. They are specific to where they go.

Dude, you obviously know little about motors. Those caps are machined to tight tolerances and you just dont swap that suff around.

As Oxford said, these are pieces that can't be interchanged from head to head without having them linebored, and most times that doesn't even work out.If you didn't get caps with your new heads you really have a problem, good luck.

Thanks guys. I have a real problem. So I'm selling everything for my engine build. I can't afford heads now, so I'm calling it a day. Do you guys think I can even sell the heads with no cam caps?

If you are missing them they are basically boat anchors. What happened to the caps?
