It's funny I stumbled upon this thread... I have a black, auto,03 GT and as of a few days agoam looking for a Mach 1 haha. I've liked the Mach ever since I heard about their S/C'd potential... aren't they better than a Terminator if you throw ablower on it??? I've heard they make around 450HP after being blown. But then again I knowvery littleabout the Mach 1's. Still like em though

The terminator has a stronger bottom end from what i've been reading, but the Mach does have the 32v v8 which is stronger that our "glass bottom ends".But our 2v 4.6 are good for 450 rwhp from what i've read in the 5.0 mustang mags.

I've always seen pics of the Mach's in the mags but never up close and in person till the other day when a guy stopped buy the Ford dealership i work at in a 2004 Mach 1 in the light blue color. The car looked awesome and i was able to see the little things that are different from the GT's.I think it would be pretty cool to own one and yes orange is not my first choice of a color, but it will stand out and still turns heads.

My dad brought one home from work today and I gotta drive one around at work.
Cobras do have a better block and internals but dont they have a bad rear end I think they have independent rear suspension which isn't good for the strip correct?

Yea isn't a 5spdMach 1 around mid/low 13's stock? And isn't an 03 Cobra high/mid 12's stock? Based on that, the Mach should be ALOT better once it's blown, shouldn't it? Then after some little air mods that forced induction engines reallylike, such asCAI, TB, etc, it should be pretty insane, right? Like low 12's at least?

I would keep both if you can wing it. Its nice to have something else to drive so you can modify the other. An orange Mach is kind of rare color.

yea i think u should just get the Mach and keep both of them. The thing about blowing Mach 1 is that they come with higher compression than the 03 cobra. But u still wouldnt have any problems getting to high 400 or even 500 with a mach 1. But it would still probly need a forged bottom end.
