hell mahle pistons are relatively cheap and are ok if you have a good tune. There is/was a group buy on corral for diamond pistons, might want to look into that. If you can get a teksid block for a good price jump on it. Otherwise use an iron block and take the money you would have spent on the teksid and put it into better pistons. 7lbs isnt much boost, a stock shortblock will take that all day long with a good tune.

500 will get you adecent set of pistons. Another 150 will get you the rings.

How much will the stock block-crank take exactly. Why is the block a weak link when going with the iron block...the block really doesn't take the brunt of any abuse does it...will a dss main support help with the holding capacity of the block? Also, what is a good price on a teksid and where should I look for one ( is the teksid used in the lincoln mark VIII's).
