car wont start
even when you pop the clutch while rolling
this is durring a trip from florida to massachusetts
it started with the starter clicking but not turning the engine over. talked to a ford dealership and they said it was most likley the battery. we changed it and the mustang started right up.
next time we turn it off same thing happens with the starter. we check the voltage of the battery, 12.7 off and after push starting it 13.8 while running so i figure it's the starter or a lose wire to the starter. it's in a tight place so we decided to just push start it every time, worked great.
except for the last time, the battery was so dead that it would not run the fuel pump, brake lights, door locks anything.
i'm thinking that it may be a random fuse or the car thinks it's been stolen so it doesnt start.
any other ideas?

RE: car wont start
Sounds like something is draining your battery big time it may take some troubleshooting to figure this one out. Start by checking your grounds, altenator connections and your starter power wire. Its like looking for a needle in a haystack. Good luck
