alright this kid in a stock talon ESI, front wheel drive, says he will take on my 2004 GT, its a automatic stock mustang gt, he has a 4 cylinder engine, he has a manual.......i thought i could kill him....but he says he will take me on........will he?

no. but the four cylinder engine line doesn't matter either way.

Unless something goes wrong, you will beat him. He needs at least a stock DSM turbo and/or all wheel drive to keep up. I like lots of imports, but people like that who run their mouths just give those cars a bad name. Shut him up.

Christ it doesnt matter if it is AWD or not, if it is stock its going to be a slaughter.

I wouldnt expect a stock turbo AWD talon to break into the low 15s.

pfft, stock 5-spd Esi, you'll kill him..even if he was a tsi (Turbo) you shouldnt have any problem..

i thought the TSI which he doesn't have was mid to high 14s so I'm guessing this guy is running mid 15's to a low 16 but i'm going by it being stock

My family has owned 4 of these, One TSI, one talon non turbo, one laser non turbo, and one 1.8L. Even the AWD TSI wasnt that fast, even off a launch. You can't pull a WRX on these and expect em to live thru it (a redline launch that is).

Just floor it when the light turns green/someone says go. Screw lauch technique or anything else. You could spin all the way thru 1st and 2nd and still competely destroy this guy.

ya stock TSI's run low 15's but he's not a TSI so he's mid 16's you run low 15 or possibly high 14, either way you'll beat an esi and TSI would be closer but you should still take them both stock for stock

Ok lets say he has a turbo under the hood. Its still front wheel drive and will get NO traction. Etheir way it's going to take a lot of cash to make that car capable of beating him.
