suger in gas tank

Default suger in gas tank

[:@]so i come out of the mall yesterday and i seen my car got keyed and someone put a suger in the gas tank....i don't think it got to the motor yet cause i only ran for about 2 min before i seen my gas cap was open....my question is should i let my car run so i get a new motor or should i just let them fix whats wrong with the car??and if i do blow my motor will insurance cover it?

Sugar won't blow your motor. It doesn't dissolve in gasoline.

You will need your tank cleaned out though.

+1 yeah i saw that on myth busters. You'll be fine but drop the tank and dump that sh*t out. . . . How do you know its sugar for sure though?

wow that sucks. Do you have any ideas on who mide have done that? But no sugar shouldn't hurt your car...just unbolt and clean out like everyone said you'll be straight. And run some gas treatment in it when you fill it up couldn't hurt.

I remember this happened to someone else here about a few months ago.
He just kept driving, and when the gas tank was half empty, he topped it up and it ran fine after that.
