i wouldn't trust it. if the car was well maintained, it may be fine. there's never a guarentee with high mileage vehicles though.

140K is alot of miles, expect to swap out little stuff like suspension etc at the very least.

I have a 1996 gt that i baught with 147,000 it now has 152,000 the only problem i had was that one of the rear slides got stuck and i baught a caliper repair kit and did it myself. I too only use my car to go to school and back.

If it was taken care of then it will run alot longer, my neighbors 97 is over 300k and he drives it 100 miles everyday to/from work...we PI swapped it when it was over 100k and it runs flawlessly...Just get it looked at and if its in good shape then buy it if the price is good.
