I have a 2002 GT, i got it in january 06 with 18,000 miles. Since then i have only been regular with changing the air filter and the oil. Now it has 41,000 miles on it and i was wondering if there is any other engine matenience that i should be doing: spark plugs, fuel filter, transmission fluid(its an auto), maybe some fuel injector cleaner? i'm not sure what all should be done at this point. I read something about replacing/checking the PCV valve? She runs nice now and i want to take care of her for the future. Thanks in advance.

Look in your manual and it will tell you when your car is due for the scheduled changes. You shouldn't have to do anything right now unless you're having problems. I believe your 1st check up should be around 75k. No fuel cleaner or anything like that

I Disagree. This guy has put a decent amount of miles on his car in a little over a year. Leads me to think he should follow a stricter schedule.

At this point, andI believe the manual will confirm this, coolant flush, auto tranny flush w/filter change, fuel filter, air filterand PCV valve change was due at 30,000.

The tranny and coolant can be done at Ford for about $300.The rest you can do at homeeasily enough.

I have an01 GT vert auto and these items improved the tranny shifts and fuel economy. I do recommend Ford for the tranny, they use the right synthetic fluid. And No, I don't work for them.
