Starting Out
Well, its time I started doing a few basic mods. I already had the American Thunder Flowmasters installed two weeks ago, and I got a good deal on some Cobra 17x9 rims mounted on Falken all-season 275/40R/17's. They looks SWEEEET.
I'm gonna start from the back this time.Upgrade the 3.27's to3.73's &T/A girdle, Trans-Go Shift Kit, and switch to synthetic fluids in the rear, tranny, and engine.

How's that for starters?

They might sound like a little too much, but I dont think that you will be disappointed. Unless you spend all of the time on the highway. go to www.stangnet.com and do a search on gears. About 95% of people agree that 4.10's are the way to go for AOD. But hey, its your car so do what you want. BTW, nice #'s on your bird, what all do you have done to it?

Well, thanx for the info about stangnet. I didn't know about stangnet. It looks like thats a BIG forum. I'll sign up and jump in.

About the gears, I have a gear calculator that I use http://www.f-body.org/gears/
When I put in all the info for tire size, rear-gears, and transmission gears, I got 2850RPMs @ 80MPH. Doesn't that seem a little high? For a cruising speed?
My Firebird has 6 gears, so it doesn't matter. I run 4.10's in that one.

BTW, here's my Firebird page.
